DEFENSE: Coming off the IL, Carlos Rodón gives up 2 R/ER on 5 H (1 BB, 3 SO) on 5.0 IP. While Rodón’s velocity was diminished, his stuff was mostly good and not as rusty as it might have been after sitting out two rotations. Michael Kopeck’s slider isn’t sliding. He gives up 5 R/ER on 4 H (1 BB, 1 HBP, 1 SO), in the 6^th, making it 9-7 Sox. Brian Goodwin contributes to the damage with a bad throw to home (E9).
