March 11—Free agent Carlos Rodón, LHP, who has been with the White Sox since they drafted him number #3 overall in 2014, has signed a two-year deal with the San Francisco Giants worth $44 million. The contract reportedly allows Rodón to opt-out after the 2022 season.
March 10—The thirty MLB clubs and the MLB Players Association have signed and ratified a new collective bargaining agreement to replace the previous agreement which expired on December 1. The new agreement will remain in effect through the 2026 season.
December 1—The Chicago White Sox and Leury García have agreed to a three-year $16.5 million contract.
November 30—The White Sox have signed veteran RHP Kendall Graveman to a three-year, $24 million contract.
November 23—Liam Hendriks has been awarded the closer position on the First Team of the 2021 All-MLB Team.
November 17—Carlos Rodón has placed fifth for the 2021 AL Cy Young Award.
